A Very Merry Christmas Show Tacoma Concert reviews
Beres the best always
A Very Merry Christmas Show is the best, my favorite reggae artist of all time. I drove 6 hours to see this one and would do it again in a heartbeat. He hits a lot of his classics in some short medleys where he could have easily performed the whole song. He hit all his classics like usual. I really enjoyed his drawn out performance of "they gonna talk". First off the House of Blues is a great venue. I was close to the front on one of the sides and was never bumped in to once. I missed a lot of the Culture performance because I like to show up fashionably late. The harmony house singers didn't stay on too long which was a good thing. Beres's new female solo act can sing her ass off.
A Very Merry Christmas Show took the stage quickly around 9:45 or 10:00. When he sang "I feel Good" it really was a much better rendition than the one I saw earlier in the year in Norfolk, VA. I was dying to hear a live rendition of his massive hit "I surrender" from the last year but he didn't perform it. I have seen him perform this gem on YouTube at one of his shows so a major disappointment there. The only song that he performed that came out in the last decade is "I Feel Good". I would have loved to hear the crazy new hit 'See you Again" on the sweet riddim which would have made the night for me.
Remember the times when we would rockaway to actual ENCORES. How about have him leave the stage and then come back out and do the "One Dance" and "She loves me now" medley at the end. Or save "Come back Home" for the end. These are great songs but it was so anti-climactic to finish a show like that. I say he closes the show with "Pull up the Vibes." Why not save a few gems for the end of the show when your fans that love you so much would love to just hear one more song out of you. A Very Merry Christmas Show finished up with "Love means never to say your sorry" and then brought all the acts on stage to help sing "Giving Thanks." There just needs to be more excitement towards the end of the show.
